Let me first say “Welcome Aboard”. My name is Chris Rannow. We purchased our first yacht in 2019. We have had boats in the past but nothing to the magnitude of our beloved yacht “Comptime”. I never thought owning a yacht and cruising the Great Lakes would lead to such a boating passion. My wife Judy and I also love to cook and though we are by no means professionals at it we do receive many accolades for the many foods we make. Rather than going out to eat at restaurants or hiring outside help to work on the boat we enjoy preparing great meals and doing as much work on the boat as possible by ourselves. We created this site to detail our favorite recipes and the many boat projects we have completed. We will also be sharing what we do during the off-season. Thank you for joining us and we hope you enjoy the site.
Hi, I’m Judy. It took a while for Chris to convince me to get into boating. I always teased him that his second wife would have to be he his “water wife” because I have a healthy fear of being in the water. I found that our “cabin on the water” has been a wonderful adventure. It has provided another venue for me to do what I really love: crafting, cooking, researching, reading, and learning. We have a great home base at the Oconto Yacht Club filled with amazing people. I only wish we would have started boating sooner while our two children were at home to share this adventure with us.
