After selling our 18′ Mirror Craft center console we bought a motorcycle which we traveled around Wisconsin visiting various county fairs and local attractions for about a year. While it was fun, it did not provide us both with the recreational relaxation we were looking for. My husband likes to fish and spend time on the water. I like to hike and go camping. We started looking for properties where we could have a small cabin close to a boat launch near Oconto, Wisconsin. After discussing the pros and cons of having a second home that would need maintenance, upkeep and updating we started looking at boats that we could sleep on. In 2019, after looking at many different styles and models, we settled on a Bayliner 3388. Chris gets to fish and spend time on the water and I get to “camp” in our cabin on the water. We created this blog to chronical our adventures on and off the water. The name “Nauti Hacks & Short Stacks” comes from the fact that we have discovered that owning a boat has only added to our love of learning, creating, cooking and socializing. We hope you will enjoy learning about and sharing in our adventures!
Welcome to our adventure!
